In today's video, I'm going to go through and show you how to Unstick your Theta.
0:09
As you can see, we've been building out a lot of content and a place to steak your theta and T fuel because G Pool kind of just left the tea fuel side of things and we went with a company called ... Communications. But someone was asking, Hey, when are you going to do how to unstick theta?
0:30
Well, I have an old video and it's kind of out of date so we're gonna redo it and get this post it up.
0:38
So what you're going to want to do is visit data token dot org.
0:43
With, of course, your ledger hardware wallet, The web wallet, select hardware, and either treasurer or ledger and I use a ledger, and we're going to press Connect. Now, make sure that you have your ledger plugged in.
1:00
You have the Ethereum app, even though this is not the Ethereum Blockchain, but how they decided to do it early, is to have it on the Ethereum app.
1:10
So open your Ethereum app, make sure your pins in, Push Connect.
1:17
And it will bring up the wallets that hold your coins. So the first thing we'll do is select this particular one.
1:26
And you'll see that earlier, 12 days ago, I guess, when I made the video on how to steak with the new interface, I added 8600, so. what I need to do is unstack that, and go from there. So, what we're gonna do is when you're in your wallet, you want to make sure you have some T fuel here, because if you don't have T fuel, you will not be able to pay for the fees, so make sure you have some T fuel.
1:53
Then, up here under steaks, click Steaks.
1:57
Then instead of deposit stakes, we're going to do withdraw steak.
2:02
So, when you click withdraw, I'm going to show you why you're going to need this holder address manzo grammar right now.
2:13
When you withdraw, you will need the holder address because you're going to tell this wallet what you're going to unstick. Are you going to unstick your theta, your T fuel, you can have multiple T fuel stakes and they just need to know which one are you going to unstick.
2:34
So we will do, withdraw and not the Guardian Node.
2:39
If you want to and stake your theta, then you would check the gardena or you, it's like the garden node, but we're going to edge node and we're gonna click Paste, that's the holder adress.
2:51
We're going to click Next and then you needed that, you know, zero point three T fuel.
2:58
We're going to press Confirm, then I'm going over to my ledger Review Transaction you need to have blind signing on for now and hopefully theta will get clear signing done before they I think June 24th deadline they will and then accept and send.
3:18
And we're just going to wait for it to send this onto the blockchain.
3:27
And then you'll notice that as stated earlier, well, we'll go over here and we'll go back to this video.
3:36
And you'll see that there is, there is it right here, 72 hours that you need to, um, wait until you can get your Theta or T fuel. So you'll notice, will come here, we'll go back to stakes, and now Withdrawn. It's gonna say, Yes. If I wanted to unstick my Theta, I would do the same thing. I would take this.
4:02
I would do copy. I would do withdraw stake.
4:05
I would keep the guardian node there. I'll paste the address.
4:12
Then I would go Next.
4:15
Then I would click Confirm. But I don't want to unstick the Theta that's on this particular wallet. So, I'm gonna say reject. We're gonna go back and in 72 hours I will have more tea fuel here and that's kinda it. Thanks a lot, everybody. Have a great evening.

Executive Summary:

In this video Step-by-Step Guide: Unstaking Theta & TFuel with a Ledger Wallet, George the presenter, provides a detailed walkthrough on how to unstake Theta and T Fuel tokens. The video is a response to the community’s request for an updated tutorial following changes in the staking process and platforms.

George begins by highlighting the necessity of using a ledger hardware wallet and accessing the Theta token website. He emphasizes that despite Theta not being on the Ethereum blockchain, the Ethereum app on the ledger is required for this process. The first step involves connecting the ledger to the computer and opening the Ethereum app to access the Theta wallets.

The tutorial then proceeds to the practical aspects of unstaking. George demonstrates how to check the amount of T Fuel in the wallet, which is essential for covering transaction fees. He guides the viewers through the website interface, focusing on the ‘Steaks’ section, and explains the differences between depositing stakes and withdrawing them. The importance of the holder address is stressed, as it specifies which Theta or T Fuel stakes are to be unstaked.

In the latter part of the video, George shows the actual process of unstaking. He selects the ‘edge node’ option for unstaking, pastes the holder address, and confirms the transaction on the ledger, noting the requirement for blind signing. He provides a clear explanation of the transaction confirmation process on the ledger and the expected timeframe for the transaction to be processed on the blockchain.

The video concludes with a reminder of the 72-hour waiting period required for the unstaked Theta or T Fuel to become available in the wallet. George emphasizes the simplicity of the process and reassures viewers that the method is secure and user-friendly. He ends the session by encouraging viewers to unstake their tokens if needed and wishing them a great evening.
