Trezor Model T issues with Theta & Tfuel
I had a few people send me information put out by the Michelle Whitedove group. It’s nothing that would compromise their membership there, only a bit of technical issues someone is experiencing.
There is a temporary glitch. Theta is aware and working on it. You do not need to panic. It will all be fine. We wanted to share that right up front as to not take you for ten laps around the pool of anxiety, smile.
Our friend Kaan writes: "WARNING: For those of you who are contemplating using a Trezor Model T to store and stake Theta/TFuel be advised. There is a glitch that will not allow the Trezor to sign a transaction to either stake or move the tokens. This is a significant problem because there is very little help and it appears the problem is on Theta Labs end and their lack of support with Trezor developers. My tokens are locked and I cannot find any help to resolve the issue. Had I known that Theta is not fully supported on Trezor, I never would have sent my tokens there so may be this will help others."
I cannot confirm this issue since I do not have my Theta or Tfuel on a Trezor.

Clause had a comment during the Tech Live Stream on Saturday. He mentioned that the site JoinDeleteMe.com really didn’t help him because he was on the other side of the pond. I wrote to them and this is their response.

The sites from which we delete our customers (from these specific sites https://joindeleteme.com/sites-we-remove-from/) are all based in the US and they only process removals from people who either currently live in the US or used to live in the US. If a person has never lived in the US at any point in their life, we won't be able to help them. Generally, these sites only list U.S residences anyways, so if they don’t live in the U.S it’s unlikely that they are listed.
We hope to expand the service in the future to include other countries and foreign websites as well.
You know my answer to the problem, George. Set up a Ledger Nano with the 12-word seed phrase from the Trezor and connect to the Theta wallet with the Ledger. You may need to try the different derivation paths (m/44’/60′, m/44’/60’/0′, or m/44’/60’/0’/0) to find the right address with the tokens.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I was just coming back to give that option if there was anyone in a panic around it. I’m in their discord and there are a few confused end users.
Commenting to confirm – I do have a Trezor and noticed that I was running into an error when trying to stake my last purchase. I figured it might have been on Trezors end after the latest update and was going to try again soon but this explains it.
@JettaRed, that’s a great idea – we’ll see if I can get my hands on a Ledger at this point, I figured a few Trezors were good.
